I'm now a BENEbabe!

Hi there loves! Today, I went to the Benefit Cosmetics counter at Rustan's Shangri La and checked out their newest products. Since it's the opening of their newest branch in Rustan's Makati, anyone can join their celebrity profile with just a minimum purchase of Php 1000 only until August 31st. So I got there to get my Benefit kit and sign up as a Benebabe!

Their counter is just infront of MAC cosmetics where I usually purchase mine.

I got one of their newest kit: How to look the Best at Everything which is for Php 1600. Not bad for it contains 5 of Benefits' most essential products that you can wear anytime. 

Just too bad, they don't have a Benefit shopping bag at Rustan's Shang :(

My AUGUST Favorites

I never thought of creating a post of my monthly favorites, it's just now that I have realized that I should do so. :)

So here they are...

I love using this palette from Active Cosmetics, I can use it for smokey eye looks as well as for natural looks. But of course, I rarely use the brush that comes with it. The Black liner from Elf was included in their 24k collection.

Revlon Photo Ready (Liquid foundation)

This liquid foundation from Revlon has always been my favorite ever since it first landed on my face. It helps keep me get a full coverage and it really looks good on photos. It is a staple on my make up kit. :)

I love the color of NYX round lipstick, though it dries my lips at times. So I think I need to look on another shade of good lipstick. I will try to check out MAC again for that. Elf's bronzing powder is best for parties that fall on night time. MAC lipstick in Heroine has always been an "eye catcher". I love how it tints my lips so well, aside from its matte finish.

I wanna be a BENEbabe...Benefit Cosmetics Membership

Just browsing over the internet, I was amazed by Benefit Cosmetics' make up kits. They make the cutest kits ever! I am not really a fan of their cosmetics line, I haven't tried them yet. So when I learned that they are opening on Rustan's Makati this August 31st, I felt bad that I can't even come since I have work at night. Well, I can always drop by at the Shangri La counter since that's the one nearer our place.

They also have an announcement that anyone can be a Benebabe for purchases of only Php 1,000 until August 31st. Sounds good, right? So I asked my hubby to accompany me so I can make my first purchase (hopefully) at the Shangri La counter and fill up a membership form.

I have read a lot of reviews about Benefit Cosmetics. It's my habit of reading reviews first before purchasing a product that I haven't tried yet. Checking their price tags when I pass by their counter (it's beside Mac's counter in Rustan's Shangri La where I purchase my Mac items), their products are a bit pricey than Mac. I am a big fan of Mac Lipsticks and foundations, so maybe the products that I might try on Benefit will be their concealers and blushers. Hmmm, might as well ask hubby to purchase some for me. :)

Once I got my first Benefit Cosmetics, I will try to make a review on them. Hopefully, my skin will love them.

My Birthday Gifts from Hubby

I'm such a lucky wife, that my husband always gets the items on my wishlist. Haha! On my birthday this year, he got me some of my Mac "wants"...and La Senza Lingerie. :)

I keep on reminding him about the Mac lippie that I wanted to get. Since I don't have a red lipstick yet, I decided to check out their Russian Red. I think it looks good anytime, day or night. I really love how they do their matte lipsticks. It stays perfectly on my lips and I don't have to touch it up every now and then. It's like staining my lips and I love it!

Another thing that he got for me is a Mac Select Sheer Pressed Powder on NC30. I was choosing between NC25 and NC30 but the first one was a bit lighter so I end up with NC30 which perfectly blends on my skin. 

So there are some of my birthday gifts from hubby, additions to my make up collection. I would always tell him that I'm not so fond of buying gadgets like he does, but one thing's for sure, I love make ups. Which is obviously way cheaper than his gadgets. :)

Hoping he'll get me more. Haha! See yah again! xoxo

Mac Russian Red on my lips

PEARLS...My Best Accessory Buddy

Hi there! Sorry if I haven't created a post for quite some time now. I've been very busy with coordinating a birthday party. Yeah, I'm also a party planner, freelance. :)

Since I'm planning for a Modern Barbie Themed Birthday Party for my client's daughter, I was able to fantasize a world of pearls. And when I got home yesterday morning, I checked on my box of accessories and most of them were actually pearls! Yay!

I don't know why and how I have collected several pieces of pearl accessories. But they are not the expensive ones, haha! Just some sort of fashionable pearl necklaces and bracelets. When I was still single, my mom always tell me not to wear pearl earrings 'cause it's a bad tradition for single women. Well that's the only wearable thing that I can have (casual to formal).

Some of my pearls were gifts from family and friends. The 1st on my collection is a piece of plain pearl necklace/choker from my mom. So far, I have 3 necklaces and 5 bracelets - all in different colors and designs.

Well for me, Pearls are must haves for us girls. Whether you're single or married, pearls are wearable from casual to formal, from office to cocktails. And I admit, I will definitely add more to this. :)
