Art Project: Chocolate Factory Themed Party Decors Part 1

Hi! Well, it's already the 28th of April and this is just my 2nd post. Woah! Now you know how busy I am in preparation of my son's 2nd birthday party. Also, with my online business. :)

Back in high school, I have been so creative that all of my art projects were taken for exhibits in the art room, my grades in Visual Arts were mostly 100%. But after college, I haven't been doing artworks until lately, when I became a mom that I realized being creative is a "must" to execute inexpensive and extravagant work of art. And on my second year of becoming a mom to my sweet little boy, I have checked on all available resources in the market. I promise to create one-of-a-kind art works on his special day. Anything for my little man.

So since it's about my creativity, I decided to DIY some things that I needed for the party instead of getting a supplier and paying thousands of bucks. Theme is: "Yale and the Chocolate Factory". If you have watched Johnny Depp's, "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" , you would know the concept.

My idea of party decors would be bright colored materials, something related with candies. Well, I've got a big bag of candies! Haha!

Some of my inexpensive materials for my DIY items:

1. Gerber Empty Glass Bottles

- I just imagined that these bottles will be great for DIY party supplies. These are from Yale's drink a year ago and good thing that I still have these. I cleaned and removed the paper labels and I'm now drafting on what design I can create unto these cute bottles.

2. Colorful and Chic Materials

- The first time I saw these items, I must say that I fell deeply in love with them. Well, the fact that they're not expensive and you can create a lot of things with these babies, imagination is the key. I have assorted paper straws, baker's twine, baking cups and washi tapes.
I got these from Paper Chic Studio and Celebrations Party Central .

This is just the first part of my DIY materials. I'll be looking for some more affordable materials this week, mom and I will go to Divisoria to check out some other party stuffs. I haven't been there for a long time. :)

So there, I'll update more of this once I got a new set of materials.

Happy Easter everyone! Here's another DIY nail art for this week! An Easter bunny and eggs. :)

Have a great Easter Sunday everyone!

SAPPE Beauti Drink

Hello loves! Another beauty discovery that I got here is not really a beauty product but a very refreshing drink. Yeah, you read it right! This is a new drink from Thailand. Manufactured by the same company who created Mogu Mogu. :)

The drink has two variants, I tried the one with L-Carnitine which according to the label: "Helps promote the fat metabolism and is good substance for intake during your diet and exercise programs."

the packaging is too nice, it looks like a shampoo rather than a drink :)

This drink is made of lime and white grape juices. It's citrus flavor tastes like Sprite or 7UP less the carbon. It contains 8000mg of fiber and 86mg of L-Carnitine which can help burn fat.

It's translucent white in color and best served chilled

Where to buy?

At any 7eleven outlets for only Php 40. It's just another refreshing way to be beautiful without hurting your pocket, at the same time, hydrated this summer!

'til next!

DHAMPEL and JHELYN's Wedding Featured on Bridal Book

Remember my FOTD post on a wedding last December 12, 2012? It was a very special day for my highschool friend and my son's "ninang" Jhen who married her soulmate Pel. The wedding venue was decorated with a lot of bicycles and was featured in www.bridalbook.ph .

I'm also a proud mom to have my son as a coin bearer who was also included on the feature:

The wedding favors I made were also included:

I'm happy for the feature and I am indeed very proud of them! Congrats as well since Jhen is 2 month pregnant with their first child. :)

Cheers!
