FOTD: VALENTINE'S Day Look

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Well, what have you done with your loved ones? It's the last day of classroom training for me and we had a "Wear Your Status" thing in the office. Red for married ones of course! 

Here's a look I made for today though hubby and I really don't have plans of going out on a date, they went to see me in the office anyway after work. :)

Review: ACTIVE Cosmetics Blush On

One last hit before I get off for work and get busy again the whole week. Sigh. Well, that's all for the little guy. All the hard work will pay off every time I see smiles and hear laughs and giggles from my little boo. :)

Another lovey that I have from my Active Cosmetics palette are these blush on colored in pink and peach:

PRO's:

- very light on the skin

- lasts for about 8 hours

- not cakey or powdery

- smooth application

- shimmery but not too much

CON's:

- not available locally

- you have to apply it evenly

- not too much pigmented so you have to apply twice

- better to use a blush brush instead of the brush that comes with it

PRICE: 

- no idea since it was given by my mom-in-law, bought in London

Overall, I love it on my skin. It has a natural finish and glow. :)

FOTD: MATTE but not FLAT

Today is my first day of training in the office and I decided to have a "bold" red on my look, to show confidence and style. So even if I'm wearing a white blouse and only minimal make up, I can still look and feel good. :)

I enjoyed this very light look and since it's our first day, no serious work at all. Honestly, I don't like the schedule of training 'cause it's "siesta" time for me (2pm-10pm) I'd rather be on a 10pm-6am shift, that's what I am used to. But then I need to take this for about 28 days I believe before they change our schedules.

FOTD: WEDDING 12-12-12

Hi there again my pretty and gorgeous readers! I've had no posts for the last couple of days for our preparation for my long time friend Jhelyn's wedding. Yes, it's December 12th, 2012! And my baby boy is part of the entourage, he's actually the youngest member at 1 year and 7 months old on the 14th. :)

We had so much fun and we were very happy for our friend Jhelyn's wedding. I'm also glad that she made Yale carry their symbol of treasure, even though he's too young to be part of a wedding entourage. Hubby actually accompanied Yale in walking down the aisle and sat beside him too. The night was full of laughter and fun! Congrats again marsie and Pel! We love you both! Enjoy your honeymoon!

LOTD: Attending Maria's Baptism

Hello there loves! It's been a couple of days that I haven't posted anything on my blog. I've been busy with work plus some kinda mommy duties for the weekend. Anyway, when I woke up today and checked my blog, there's a new follower on the list. Proud to say that I'm being followed by CHARRY of EYE CANDY. She's one of my fave top bloggers in the country! December 8th, it's Mama Mary's Immaculate Concepcion. We were also invited to attend a baptismal event, Yale's ninang Tel Agustin (wife of Ato Agustin) is one my college friends and their 2nd child, Ayesha Karelle will be welcomed in God's grace. EOTD: USING ACTIVE COSMETICS PALETTE

Hi loves! I'm planning to purchase a new eye shadow palette or e/s pans but while checking my make up box, I found out that I still have this ACTIVE cosmetics make up kit that my mom-in-law gave me, she was still in London when she got me this palette and I think this is not locally available.

Let me show you an EOTD using only this palette for the eye shadows.

Take a look at this:

I used purple shades for this look 

To show you how I came up with this, here's my ACTIVE cosmetics e/s palette:

1. LIGHT PURPLE SHADE - I applied this color on my lid using an ELF eye shadow brush.
2. DEEP PURPLE SHADE - this is the darkest purple that can be found on my palette, I used this on the outer crease area.
3. BLACK - applied on the outer edge of my eyes.
4. LIGHT BEIGE - used to highlight my brow bone.
5. SHIMMER GRAY - applied on the inner edge of my eyes to make it brighter.

My AUGUST Favorites

I never thought of creating a post of my monthly favorites, it's just now that I have realized that I should do so. :)

So here they are...

From left to right: palette from Active Cosmetics, Black Liner from Elf, One Great Mascara from Avon, Eyebrow wax and powder from Elf

I love using this palette from Active Cosmetics, I can use it for smokey eye looks as well as for natural looks. But of course, I rarely use the brush that comes with it. The Black liner from Elf was included in their 24k collection.

Revlon Photo Ready (Liquid foundation)

 Used with an Elf foundation brush

This liquid foundation from Revlon has always been my favorite ever since it first landed on my face. It helps keep me get a full coverage and it really looks good on photos. It is a staple on my make up kit. :)

From left to right: NYX round lipstick in Hot Pink, Elf Bronzing Powder, MAC lipstick in Heroine

I love the color of NYX round lipstick, though it dries my lips at times. So I think I need to look on another shade of good lipstick. I will try to check out MAC again for that. Elf's bronzing powder is best for parties that fall on night time. MAC lipstick in Heroine has always been an "eye catcher". I love how it tints my lips so well, aside from its matte finish.
