EOTD: PLAY AFTER WORK

My day has been so long...Two hours client meeting in the morning, emails sent to my boss, even washed the car. Whew! I think I've burnt a lot of calories from my Starbucks frappes! :)

Anyway, here's another EOTD after all the work I've done today. While resting in front of the lappie and watching tv, I just have to play with my make ups. My husband even thought that I'm eating my make ups. Oops! Is that a signal that he's gonna get me some more? lol

Here's what happened to my eyelid-turned-to-canvas work:

My eyes are longing for sleep now, very tired looking

What I've used:

ELF Eye shadow primer
COASTAL SCENTS 88 color palette - for all the e/s I've used
ELF Cream liner in Black
ELF 24K Lengthening and Defining mascara in Black
AVON Eyebrow pencil in Brown
BENEFIT Boi-ing Under eye concealer

Here's more:

I just added a pink color to give another look for the usual grays and blacks.

'Til then! :)

Review: PURE BEAUTY CLEANSING OIL

Have you tried washing off your make up using just facial wash and water? I did. And it just made a lot of make up residue on my face, especially on my eye area. I have been using PONDS Cold Cream to remove my make up for a long time now and I have made a review here. But of course, I will always check out another product that will help me remove stubborn eye make up.

I have discovered PURE BEAUTY CLEANSING OIL, it's a Korean brand by the way. It's out in the market for quite some time now and I hate myself for only discovering it now. Anyway, the packaging says, "Moisturising enriched with soybean oil".

 190 ml bottle

It comes with a pump and a lock

Now, let's put it to test:

I applied ELF lengthening and defining mascara in black at the back of my hand

Pumped a drop of Pure Beauty cleansing oil

Rubbed it thoroughly

After wiping with tissue

Second drop of Pure Beauty cleansing oil and rubbed it again

After wiping with tissue, VIOLA! It's gone!

Yes, it's as easy as that! When using it on your face, especially on your eye area, just remember to use your thumb and index fingers to gently rub your eyelashes. This will prevent you from having a cloud vision afterwards. You can either use the oil by massaging it all over your face, neck and back of your ears then wipe with tissue, or you can also massage the oil on your face and add water to emulsify the solution, then wash off with facial wash and water.

PRO's:
- gently removes eye make-up, even the waterproof ones
- very light
- affordable, it only costs Php 149.75 (about US $3) for a 190 ml bottle
- you just need 2-3 drops for the whole face including neck and back of the ears
- didn't break me out even if it's oil

CON's:
- well, it's oil so if you don't want oil on your face, better not use it
- when not used properly in the eye area, it will give you a cloudy vision
- smells like soybean but it's okay with me

WILL I REPURCHASE THIS?
Yes! It's a sure must have for make up enthusiasts.

'Til then!

MAC GLAMOUR DAZE HOLIDAY COLLECTION

Another collection from MAC that I'm sure all make up addicts wouldn't want to miss: GLAMOUR DAZE HOLIDAY COLLECTION. Our local celebrities were able to experience the collection last night and these are officially available here in the country.

According to the MAC website, the Glamour Daze Holiday Colour is:

The glamour of getting ready to step out for the holidays. Sweet to sexy, lips to nails. Every angle, every detail obsessed over. An unforgettable look emerges in a cool cloud of pale pink edged with smoky grey - the shimmer of a festive finishing touch. One last glance and you're out the door. Limited edition.

Yes, they're another LIMITED EDITION so better hurry while the collection is still HOT. :)

Anyway, just look into these glam items from the collection:

Glamour Daze Extra Dimension Eye Shadow
- A liquid powder eye shadow with prismatic reflections in eight shimmering tints.
Impact ranges from sheer crystallized light to a highly polished metallic effect.

Glamour Daze Fluidline
 - Ultra-smooth, fluidline's gel formula provides the precision of a liquid liner with a
silkier, softer finish. Goes on fool proof with a brush in an easy dip and stroke action.

Glamour Daze Kohl Power Eye Pencil
- A kohl pencil that has all the intensity and colour power of ultra soft carbon.

Glamour Daze False Lashes Mascara
- Fashionably false in look but honestly real, this mascara's key benefits of volume and curl
are matched by a dramatic end look.

Glamour Daze Lipstick
 - Colour plus texture for the lips. Stands out on the runway.

Glamour Daze Lip Glass
- Lip colour with large particle pearls reflect and refract light to mimic the brilliance of quartz and opal crystal.

Glamour Daze Powder Blush

Various formulas, different looks.

Glamour Daze Extra Dimension Skin Finish

Glamour Daze Nail Lacquer
- Revolutionary new high gloss formula.
Contains conditioners and UV protection.

Aren't they lovely? But with all of these, here are the items that I wanted to get or should I say, my "wishlist" for Christmas. :)

Lippies! Yes, I admit! I'm in love with MAC lipsticks and I can always save some moolah for them.
I would love to get this Glamourdaze shade from the collection.

or maybe this Innocence shade, or maybe both? :)

and this powder blush in Small Vanity shade

I can't wait for our next trip to Manila, so I can do my Christmas shopping too!

How about you? What would you get from this collection?

'Til next! Goodnight! :)

EOTD: USING ACTIVE COSMETICS PALETTE

Hi loves! I'm planning to purchase a new eye shadow palette or e/s pans but while checking my make up box, I found out that I still have this ACTIVE cosmetics make up kit that my mom-in-law gave me, she was still in London when she got me this palette and I think this is not locally available.

Let me show you an EOTD using only this palette for the eye shadows.

Take a look at this:

I used purple shades for this look

To show you how I came up with this, here's my ACTIVE cosmetics e/s palette:

1. LIGHT PURPLE SHADE - I applied this color on my lid using an ELF eye shadow brush.
2. DEEP PURPLE SHADE - this is the darkest purple that can be found on my palette, I used this on the outer crease area.
3. BLACK - applied on the outer edge of my eyes.
4. LIGHT BEIGE - used to highlight my brow bone.
5. SHIMMER GRAY - applied on the inner edge of my eyes to make it brighter.

These are the things I've used all over the eyes:
ELF Eye Shadow Primer
ETUDE HOUSE Oh m'Eye Lash Mascara in Black
ELF Tone Correcting Concealer
ELF Cream Liner in Black - used on my water lines too
AVON Eye Pencil in Brown

I only used two brushes for this eye make up:

ELF Eye shadow brush

ELF Blending eye brush

Here's more of the eye make up:

Hope you'd like it!

Thanks again! :)

Review: ELF CREAM EYELINER

Hello again loves! It's a long weekend for all of us and maybe some are still enjoying the heat of the sun. Well, not me. lol. Anyway, since ELF Cosmetics is one of the cheapest, or I may say, affordable brand in the market, I'll be showing you my views on their cream eyeliner. Most of us may prefer using liquid liners, but I am in love with gel and creams. :)

Here are the photos of my ELF Cream Eyeliner:

The packaging

Same price with other stores like Watson's, SM Dept. Store, etc.

The container looks like a glass but it's plastic

Swatch on my hand

It comes with a brush, but others prefer using an angled brush instead

PRO's:
- Light weight
- Price, very affordable
- Smooth application
- Very handy packaging
- Dries fast after application
- Doesn't smudge on my lids (I have oily lids)
- I tried to put my hand on running water and the liner didn't smudge as well

CON's:
- Staying power is not so long, 4-6 hrs is the most
- You can only use it for about 6 months

Before I purchased this one, I have a Wet 'n Wild cream eyeliner. I just noticed that after about 4 months, the liner already dried and I wasn't able to maximize its usage. Anyway, it cost me just Php 199 for that. I just hope that ELF would be better than my previous liner. Also, I put this to test last weekend and yeah, it didn't last me that long. Enough for 4 hrs and it faded. :(

WILL I REPURCHASE THIS?
Thinking about it. Though, if I'm tight on budget, this is a better alternative. :)

Thanks! xoxo
