Review: IN2IT Sheer Eye Colour

How have you been ladies? How's your Christmas vacay? We're all heading up for the New Year celebration and I am preparing myself for getting back into the office world. Well, home based job is pretty much okay but my body's longing for everyday work in the office. I mean, I'm used to going out of the house for work in the past six years. So I've decided to maybe try working in the office again before having workshops for my new business venture next year. :)

Anyway, let me update my blog before the year ends. I'm posting a review on my so used eye shadow duo for this holidays. Yes, I've been using this often this month. It's my first IN2IT product, Sheer Eye Colour EY 12 Earth.

The packaging gives a clear view of the product

It has a small mirror and an applicator

It is somehow same as MAC baked e/s

PRO's:

- very affordable price for only Php 299 (US $ 7)
- very pigmented
- soft and easy to apply
- can be brought at any SM Dept stores
- it's compact is good to bring along without taking too much space

CON's:

- should always apply an e/s base before application
- can easily shed without a base

OVERALL:

I love the color and pigmentation and it can also be a dupe to MAC bakes e/s.

'Til my next review! :)

Hello there! Our last day in Baguio City today, we're heading back to Pampanga since hubby's got work as well as I'm back to home based work again tonight. So even if we still wanted to stay and enjoy the cold breeze here, we really need to go home. It's a short but fun vacation indeed!

Another look I made today for our last day here, going out to shop for some "pasalubongs", not much make up but just enough basic look for me:

Thanks and enjoy the day! :)

My "ARTies" for our BAGUIO CHRISTMAS Vacay

Two days and we're going up North! Yep, we'll celebrate Christmas in Baguio since hubby's mom will be here for only a few days. She'll be leaving on the 30th and won't be able to spend the New Year with us, so Christmas will be hers. :)

Before, I do pack a lot of things whenever we go to a short trip. But now, I can't do that thing anymore 'cause I have to concentrate mostly on what Yale's bag will contain.

I only chose some of the little staples I'll be needing for the holiday looks. Since I'm pretty sure that we won't stay all day at the hotel. Definitely, we'll be goin' out a lot during our stay there. So better look always good on the camera! LOL

too much? nah, just enough to create a face. lol

THE FACE SHOP Lovely Me Ex Make up base - I love this so much!
BENEFIT Lemon Aid and Boi-ing
ELF Eyelid primer
REVLON Photo Ready Liquid Foundation - I have a strong feeling that this bottle will be emptied soon!

MAC Select Sheer Pressed powder
IN2IT Duo Eye shadow - baked shadows good for the holidays
HERBENCH Paint Box - I'm good with this!

AVON Eye defining pencil
TONY MOLY Simple Style Mascara
ELF Cream liner
ETUDE HOUSE Color My Brows
ELF Eyelash curler

MAC Heroine Lipstick
MAC Russian Red Lipstick
ESTEE LAUDER Pure Color Long Last Lipstick in Mystic Mauve
You can never go wrong by having different shades!

ELF Brushes:
Stipple
Eye shadow
Blending
and
Extra cosmetic wedges

Temporarily, this pouch will be their home while we're away from home :)
And of course, to cleanse off make up after, I just have to bring my ever so trusted POND's cold cream.
Also, to keep lips moisturized is a lip balm and a VS scent to keep me fresh!

Excited for our trip! Happy Holidays! :)

Fragrance Check | Davidoff COOL WATER for Men

Since beauty products, cosmetics, body and facial cares can be reviewed, perfumes and fragrances are opt to be checked as well. Though I won't say reviews about them, I'll just have them "checked" and acknowledged.

Davidoff COOL WATER for Men, is a very cool and fresh scent. Yeah, I know it's for men. But at times, I feel like wearing this perfume compared to its version for women. I admit, I love the scent more than the latter one. It's been a favorite of my husband, and so it's been a staple scent to me as well.

Have you tried wearing this scent too?

Cheers!

Review: ETUDE HOUSE COLOR MY BROWS

I've been unwell for a couple of days now, I'm always like this especially during the holiday season. So please bear with me if I'm not updating my blog so often, but I try to do so every single day before we take our Christmas vacation with hubby's family in Baguio. Yes, Christmas this time will be spent with his family since his mom will be back in Dubai by New Year's eve. :(

One of my favorite products from Etude House is their brow mascara: COLOR MY BROWS. It's very easy to apply and it gives a good fix for your brows. :)

So after a few weeks of using it, I'm here to post a review for my favorite EH product. And yes, I enjoy using it for it doesn't only give a good color to my brows, it's also time and effort friendly!

 the packaging

it comes in a mascara wand

my bare brow

with Etude House Color my Brows in Light Brown

PRO's:

- easy to apply
- affordable for only Php 328 (approx US $ 8)
- the light brown color matches my hair perfectly
- good for daily use
- available locally at any Etude House branch

CON's:

- it has some glitters on it, but it doesn't show up when applied on the brows
- it only comes in 2 shades (dark and light brown)
- always sold out

Overall, I so so love the product! I'm definitely buying another one when I ran out! :)

Thanks again loves!

Weekend BEAUTY Loot

How are you lovely ladies? I hope you all started the week right! Well, for me, it's not actually a good start of the week 'cause I have colds and I need some rest for I feel kinda exhausted from last week's activities.

Anyway, like what I mentioned from my last post, we went to see my mother-in-law who just arrived from Dubai last Friday. We got to her hotel in Makati on Saturday to see her and had lunch with my mom, dad and bro. Of course, hubby and his bro Tobby were also there, Yale was too shocked indeed when he saw his "lola" from his daddy's side. :)

Since my MIL is also very "kikay" on her own, she always bring a beauty loot for me every time she goes home or whenever she sends out a package for the family. She always put blouses, shirts and dresses on my loot, but I'm more concentrated now on the cosmetics part. LOL!

Here's the prettifying items included in my beauty loot:

MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC25

VICTORIA'S SECRET Simply Breathless eau de toilette

ESTEE LAUDER Travel Exclusive Make up kit

So there goes my beauty loot from mama Thess (hubby's mom). I also got blouses and a lot of sweets! I'm the only girl whom she gives a beauty loot since she has two sons (hubby and Tobby) and Yale, they're all guys so they're more on shirts, perfumes, rubber shoes, watches and gadgets.

Will be putting these babies to road test this holiday and I'll make a review then.

Yale with mama Thess

Thanks!

Appreciate, don't hate! :)

Review: MAC Lipstick in INNOCENCE

One last hit before we head out to the metro, a review on my current favorite lipstick from MAC's Holiday - Glamour Daze Collection. I have been wearing this lippie for quite some time now ever since I got it and I tell you, it's L-O-V-E! :)

Described by MAC as a "Soft Coral" shade, this lipstick is very much on demand according to their customer ratings and reviews. It's part of their Holiday collection, meaning: it's limited edition. Good thing that I decided to get it before it ran out.

the packaging is shinier than the usual MAC lipsticks

with flash

swatch without flash

swatch with flash

on my lips

PRO's:

- vanilla scent (signature scent of MAC lippies)
- color is wearable any time of the day or night
- lasts for about 6 hours
- for me, it's a good nude color

CON's:

- limited edition
- price Php 1,100 (almost US $27)
- it's frost so expect some glitters (for me, it's okay)

OVERALL:

- I love this lipstick color and I'm so wearing this during the holidays!

By the way, I wore this on my friend's wedding to give justice to my matte gold gown.

Thanks and Have a Great Weekend! :)

How to: AIRBRUSH Make Up without an airbrush

It's almost the end of the week loves! I bet you're all planning something for the weekend! Well, my mom-in-law arrives tonight from Dubai and were going to the metro again tomorrow at the hotel where she stays. So I might not be posting another article for about a day or two so we can have some time with the family. It's also her first time to see my son walking and talking. :)

Anyway, a lot of people noticed about the flawless make up I've had on the wedding that we attended to last Wednesday. Some thought that I've used an airbrush for the make up I did. Well, I don't have an airbrush to do that. All I have are brushes to start with.

Here's a technique I've learned a couple of months ago and I was surprised when it turned out to be what it was supposed to be. LOL!
I've used my REVLON Photo Ready liquid foundation in Shell, MAC Fix+ and a stippling brush to do the trick.

Steps:

1. Spray some MAC Fix+ on your stippling brush to avoid drying of foundation and for smooth application.
(You can also spray water or any alternative vitamin water)

2. The white bristles should be the only part where your liquid foundation will go through.

3. Put a generous amount of liquid foundation at the back of your hand and take them using your stippling brush.
4. Use the stippling method in applying the foundation on your face and neck.
5.  Immediately swirl the foundation on your face so it won't dry up.
6. Apply foundation as needed on your face and neck area.
7. After doing all the make up, set by using a loose or compact powder. I used MAC Select Sheer Pressed Powder for my look.

This look was actually after 4 hours of applying the make up, see that there's a certain glow and the finish was great!
(Sorry for the candid shot my husband took!)

An affordable and easy way to achieve an airbrush look without spending too much for another tool.

Have you tried this technique too?

xoxo

Color of the Year 2013: EMERALD GREEN

A few weeks ago, PANTONE has launched the color of the year for 2013! Yes, it's Emerald Green! Perfect color for this holiday season as well, those people born on the month of May can enjoy their birth stone color. Yale, my mom and my MIL all share the same birthstones as all of them were born on May.

So I made a mood board for the color:

This color is very refreshing and adds vibrant to the usual nude colors that everyone is wearing today.

How about you, what's your mood board for this color?

'til then!

FOTD: WEDDING 12-12-12

Hi there again my pretty and gorgeous readers! I've had no posts for the last couple of days for our preparation for my long time friend Jhelyn's wedding. Yes, it's December 12th, 2012! And my baby boy is part of the entourage, he's actually the youngest member at 1 year and 7 months old on the 14th. :)

Anyway, here's the look I've made since I wore a matt gold chiffon gown yesterday.

What I've used:

THE FACE SHOP Lovely Me Ex Make up base

MAC Fix+ (sprayed on stippling brush)
REVLON Photo Ready Liquid Foundation in Shell
 ELF Eyelid Primer
ELF Correcting Concealer
IN2IT Sheer Eye shadow duo in Earth

ACTIVE e/s in Gray
MAC Espresso
ELF Cream liner in Black
TONY MOLY Slim Mascara in Black
ETUDE HOUSE Color My Brows
ACTIVE Powder Blush in Peach

MAC Select Sheer Pressed Powder (to set make up)

Hair done by my sister-in-law, thanks Myla!

with my little prince, the coin bearer Greyam Yale!

We had so much fun and we were very happy for our friend Jhelyn's wedding. I'm also glad that she made Yale carry their symbol of treasure, even though he's too young to be part of a wedding entourage. Hubby actually accompanied Yale in walking down the aisle and sat beside him too. The night was full of laughter and fun! Congrats again marsie and Pel! We love you both! Enjoy your honeymoon!

'til next! :)

PRE-HOLIDAY Make Up Haul

Hello there lovelies! I had an early make up haul for this month 'cause I don't have any plans of buying too much make up and stuffs. I need to concentrate more on buying gifts for the family, Yale and my God children. Well, for God children, I always prefer to give them monetary gifts instead of stuffs. But for those kids who are rather celebrating their birthdays and christening, I prefer giving them stuffs if I'm not a God parent. :)

This month's pre-holiday haul are somewhat some of the "basic" things that I want to add on my kit. Notice that there will be no MAC or a lipstick item, you'll know why before this month ends.

Here are the things I bought:

Five items :)

ELF Stipple brush - Php 249.75 (around US $6)
TONY MOLY Simple Style Mascara - Php 198 (about US $4)
ELF Eyelid Primer - Php 129.75 (US $3)

ELF Blending Eye brush - Php 129.75 (around US $3)
IN2IT Sheer Eye Shadow - Php 299 (US $7)

Another reason for purchasing only a few is because I wanted to try these products for my friend's wedding that I'll be attending on the 12th. So all I have to do now is to try these products first and I'm actually excited for the eye shadow, my first purchase from IN2IT!

Review on these products soon! :)

STARBUCKS PLANNER 2013

It's the Starbucks Planner craze once again! I myself collects stickers as soon as the promo starts. Having a sister who works at Starbucks, we are always updated with the promos, sales, events, etc. We also get 10% discount on merchandise and 20% on beverages and food.

Anyway, the planner has 3 colors for this year: Black, White and Green. Though it doesn't include a pouch like last year's, it is housed in a very nice leather exterior with a magnetic closure strip.

So here's my planner, I got this on November 30th. I don't drink a lot of coffee but I have my mom, hubby, brother and friends who joined me in the collection of stickers. :)

It comes with this cute bookmark

I now have a use for my MAC Glamour Daze pouch

All in white, with my boy

It matches my gadgets :)

Another new year is coming, and so I'll have a lot of planning to do! A planner helps me organize things such as birthday plans, event planning, schedule of client meetings and even my nanny's salary.

Are you also collecting stickers for the 2013 Planner? Which color do you prefer?

Thanks again! :)
